Shipping Insurance Policy
The Mad Hatter Co. L.L.C. offers shipping insurance as an optional service to provide customers with protection against loss, damage, or theft of their orders while in transit. Customers who elect to purchase shipping insurance are entitled to a replacement of the affected items, subject to the terms and conditions outlined herein. By completing a purchase, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this Shipping Insurance Policy and understands that the availability of replacement items is contingent upon the circumstances described below.
Eligibility for Replacement
To qualify for a replacement due to a lost package, a period of at least fourteen (14) days must have elapsed from the date the shipping label was created. This waiting period accounts for potential delays in transit, unforeseen carrier issues, or other circumstances that may impact the delivery timeline. If a package is determined to be lost after this period, and shipping insurance was purchased at the time of checkout, The Mad Hatter Co. L.L.C. will facilitate a replacement order.
For shipments that have been marked as "delivered" by the carrier but are not in the customer’s possession, the recipient must first contact their local post office to confirm whether the package is being held or misplaced within the carrier's network. The Mad Hatter Co. L.L.C. is not liable for packages that are reported as delivered by the carrier but are missing upon receipt. However, in such cases, customers who have purchased shipping insurance may be eligible for a replacement after completing all necessary steps to verify the delivery status.
Limitations and Exclusions
Shipping insurance applies exclusively to lost, stolen, or damaged packages. The following conditions and limitations apply:
Confirmed Delivery: If a package is marked as successfully delivered by the shipping carrier, the responsibility for retrieval falls upon the customer. The Mad Hatter Co. L.L.C. will not issue refunds or replacements for confirmed deliveries unless there is a demonstrable carrier error or the customer purchased shipping insurance and meets the eligibility criteria for a claim. Package Theft: The Mad Hatter Co. L.L.C. strongly recommends that customers provide a secure delivery location to mitigate the risk of theft. If shipping insurance was purchased and a package is stolen after delivery, a replacement may be provided at the sole discretion of The Mad Hatter Co. L.L.C., subject to verification of the claim.
Damaged Shipments: If a package arrives with visible damage, the customer must document the condition of the package and its contents by providing photographs and a written description of the damage. Claims for damaged shipments must be submitted within a reasonable period following delivery to be considered for a replacement.
Incorrect Shipping Information: Customers are responsible for ensuring that the shipping address provided at checkout is accurate and complete. The Mad Hatter Co. L.L.C. is not liable for lost or misdelivered shipments resulting from incorrect or incomplete address details supplied by the customer. If an order is returned to The Mad Hatter Co. L.L.C. due to an address issue, the customer may be required to pay additional shipping fees to have the order reshipped.
No Refunds in Lieu of Replacement
Under no circumstances will refunds be issued in place of a replacement order for lost, stolen, or damaged shipments covered under this policy. If a claim is approved, The Mad Hatter Co. L.L.C. will provide a replacement of the same or comparable items originally purchased. If an exact replacement is unavailable due to stock limitations, the company reserves the right to offer an alternative product of equal value.
Customer Responsibility and Acknowledgment
By purchasing from The Mad Hatter Co. L.L.C., customers acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Shipping Insurance Policy. Customers who decline to purchase shipping insurance accept full responsibility for any lost, stolen, or damaged packages, and The Mad Hatter Co. L.L.C. bears no liability in such instances.
Customers are encouraged to track their orders using the provided tracking number and to promptly report any issues regarding the shipment. If a package is reported as lost, damaged, or stolen, The Mad Hatter Co. L.L.C. will work in good faith to resolve the matter in accordance with the terms outlined herein.

printed. This means that the shipping process has begun, and your tracking
number will update as soon as USPS scans your order in. This does not mean your
order is lost, it is not uncommon for an order to remain in pre-shipment for
multiple days. Please only contact us about this if your order has surpassed
the estimated time for shipment.
